Sarnia police arrest one in three suspects for breaking and entering

A person is in custody for allegedly breaking and entering after a Sarnia, Ontario. the business owner saw he was being robbed in real time through a CCTV system.
Sarnia Police Department said at around 3:15 a.m. on May 13, police responded to a business near the intersection of London Line and Blackwell Sideroad for a break and enter report.
The police were first notified by a surveillance system which transmitted live video to the owner of the business who immediately contacted the police.
Upon arriving at the scene, police apprehended a suspect who was sitting in the driver’s seat of an SUV. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
Further investigation revealed that three people were involved in the break-in, one of whom was the suspect seated inside the SUV.
Police also determined that thousands of dollars worth of video game systems were stolen from the business and some of the stolen electronics were inside the SUV.
Sarnia police say a search for the two missing suspects who fled on foot was conducted with the assistance of the OPP and the K9 unit. The search made it possible to locate part of the stolen goods, but the suspects could not be found.
Police also say the SUV used in the break-in was also stolen earlier that night from a Sarnia residence.
Police also suspect that the suspects in this case made a false statement just before the break and enter in order to divert police from the area by calling 9-1-1 and reporting a crime in another part of the city. city.
As a result, a 33-year-old woman from Sarnia is charged with:
- A break and enter leader
- Mischief under $5,000
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
The other two suspects are still at large.
