Planning a trip to the Atlanta market? Here are the 20 events to watch

AmercasMart Atlanta is expected to fill its three-building campus this summer with more than 20 gourmet demonstrations, visits and taster presentations at its July 12-18 event at the Atlanta market.
Programming will take place at three locations over the summer in the Building 3 Atrium, the Jura Gourmet Demonstration Kitchen in Building 2, and the Seminar Space in Building 1. Additionally, the Atlanta Market will feature catering services, photo ops, an Instant Finalists market vignette and other pop-up experiences on the market campus.
The Building 3 atrium will host the Summer Market Launch Party at 6 p.m. on July 13 with a Fleetwood Mac tribute band, Rumors. Educational programming begins with a live floral demonstration by third-generation master florist and exclusive Metropolitan Museum of Art florist Remco Van Vliet. Called “Remco’s World of Flowers, Art & Event Design Still Life: Still Alive,” the demo begins at 1 p.m. on July 13 and is expected to be followed by a meet-and-greet in the Accent Décor showroom. “New Takes on Traditional Design,” a panel discussion featuring leading interior design and design entrepreneurs will take place at 1 p.m. on July 14. During “Elevate Your Brand with Adam and Tory” at 1 p.m. on July 15, friends and gifting experts Adam Glassman and Tory Johnson will share their top product picks and talk about what it takes to make the coveted list of favorite things to do. ‘Oprah and on shows like “Good Morning America” and “The View.” Daily entertainment and refreshments will be available at 3 p.m. July 13-15 with the Atlanta Market’s “Afternoon Beats” event as well.
The Jura Gourmet Demonstration Kitchen in Building 2, Floor 8 will host a number of culinary events starting with ‘Top Chef’ finalist, ‘Guy’s Grocery Games’ entrant, cooking competition judge and National Restaurateur Chef Brian Malarkey at 2 p.m. on July 12. Alma Cocina Downtown will feature modern Mexican craft cocktails and light snack demonstrations at 2 p.m. on July 15. At 5:30 p.m. on July 13, the Demonstration Kitchen will host a market-wide networking event for gourmet and homeware retailers as part of GCX: Expo & Education.
The Atlanta Market Seminar space, located on the 14th floor of Building 1, will host six days of trade programs for retailers and designers beginning at 10 a.m. Some of the sister publications of Gifts and decorative accessories Home Accents Today’s Retail Stars will be discussed on July 13 on how to retain and recruit employees, manage customer expectations and shop the markets in the wake of changing consumer demand. Titled “Retail Tips from the Stars,” the conversation will be moderated by Home Accents Today editor Allison Zisko.
Atlanta Market will also offer three guided tours to help shoppers learn more about its extensive product offering. A tour, “New Buyer Tour: Temporaries,” will take shoppers through the market’s 10 floors of temporary exhibits at 9 a.m. on July 13. The other two, “New Buyer Tour: Home” and “Designer Workspace Grand Re-Opening,” will focus on visiting the interior design resources and updated design workspace, respectively, on July 14. 8 Buyers’ fair.
