New York City to Honor Frontline Workers with Hometown Heroes TTY Parade Wednesday – CBS New York

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – On Wednesday, New York City will honor its frontline workers in a ticker parade through the Canyon of Heroes.
A total of 2,500 people will participate in the Hometown Heroes Parade, including 13 bands.

Fourteen tanks will also make the canyon trip, along with 10 other featured vehicles, including convertibles.

Mayor Bill de Blasio said people are welcome to walk to the parade route and see the action in person.
âI think it will be a good crowd, but I don’t think it will necessarily be a huge crowd,â he said on Tuesday. âI think you’re going to see a lot of people coming to support their fellow New Yorkers. The important thing was that as soon as we could reopen the city, the first thing we had to do was honor the people who had brought us here. I think it’s gonna be a nice party.
