New World weaving guide, tips and tricks
One of the basic materials of any crafting skill in New world is a fabric, made up of fibers collected from hemp plants found throughout Aeternum.
Hemp can be harvested at any harvest level and can be found mainly in grasslands, but also in forests. However, there is a stage between harvesting and crafting various pieces of armor, tools, and weapons, and it’s called weaving.
Here is a simple guide to weaving New world.
The basics of weaving in the New World
Weaving is the refining of fibers into various forms of fabric. From the start of the game, you can make flax from hemp fibers, at the rate of four fibers per piece of flax. After collecting hemp fibers, take them to the loom in any colony and turn them into flax. Once you reach weaving level 50, you will be able to craft the next highest cloth, satin. It costs four pieces of Linen and a Twill Weave, which is a Refined Cloth Weave material obtained from Supply containers at Monuments.
Here are all the different pieces of fabric you can weave New world, including its weaving level requirement and necessary materials.
- Laundry – Level 0: 4 fibers
- Satin – Level 50: 4 linen and 1 weaving fabric
- Silk – Level 100: 6 silk threads, 2 satin and 1 fabric weave
- Infused Silk – Level 150: 8 Wirefiber, 2 Silk and 1 Weave Fabric
- Phoenixweaver – Level 200: 5 infused silks, 1 scale cloth, 1 blister weave, 1 metallic weave
Players will be able to collect higher levels of woven fabrics later, such as Silkweave and Wireweave.
If your goal is to improve weaving as quickly as possible without increasing your other business skills, try making your linen exclusively from sateen.
Tips and tricks
Use New world Resource tracking websites to quickly find hemp hotspots, like the Primrose prairie area around Fisherman’s Bend and the Hermit Sanctuary in Windsward.
The only reason to hang on to the fiber is to use it in city council quests that give you a work order that requires raw materials. If you don’t care, however, make some flax fibers immediately. Make sure to keep all of your collected refining materials in your storage shed.
From a business skills perspective, you need to focus your territory improvements on resource gathering speed, storage space, and lowering manufacturing costs. However, storage space can be one of the most beneficial improvements in the long run.
